One of Beerbaum’s values is to see equestrian sport as a team effort and to involve young talented riders in his stable. These partnerships have produced top riders such as Marco Kutscher and Henrik von Eckermann. Now Ludger Beerbaum, together with Philipp Weishaupt, Christian Kukuk and Eoin McMahon, represent the Beerbaum Stables at all the major shows around the world.
Beerbaum Stables has a long history of success and was founded by Ludger Beerbaum, who won his first medal at the European Young Riders Championships in 1984. This marked the beginning of Ludger’s career in the world of show jumping. His big breakthrough came at his first Olympic Games in 1988 in Seoul where Ludger won gold with the German team. Four years later the individual gold medal in Barcelona followed. Today after almost 40 years of top sport Ludger gained 5 Olympic, 4 World Championship, and 11 European Championship medals. Horses like Classic Touch, Ratina Z, Champion du Lys, Gladdys S and Goldfever became legends under his saddle.
