No dust

Most of the summer we have been sick and tired of all the annoying flies irritating us and often creating discomfort for our horses. Now, this is finally over! They are all gone, and we don't have to worry as much about infected eyes, eczema or the expense of a ton of summer blankets for our horses. As a rider you are also free of mosquito bites, the itchy insanity is finally over! You also don't have to spend all your money on insect spray, fly masks etc.

The end of annoying insects and flies

The summer often involves tons of dust in the arena followed by a lot of cleaning of the horse, and irritated lungs both for rider and horse. Now this is finally over, and when it's not too rainy or windy nothing is better than doing a great dressage or jumping training with your horse in the sunny autumn weather. Of course, a good hacking out is also amazing.

Nothing beats the feeling and sight of a newly clipped horse. The muscles of the horse appear elegant under all the equipment, and the horse avoids being covered in sweat after a training session. Plus we don't have to spend a lot of time trying to dry the horse, and handle all the shedding.

Lower temperatures

Many horses have until now been out in the field day and night. Now they are back in the stable, and even thougn it can be a bit annoying wandering around in the stable in what feels like the middle of the night because it gets dark so early, it's also kind of joyful to be able to say goodnight to your horse before you leave the stable.

Saying goodnight in the stable

Autumn is known and cherished for its beautiful colors. It's quite a sight when all the trees are covered in yellow, brown and orange leaves, and without comparison riding in an autumn forest is worth all the muddy days.  In other words riding in the autumn colors beats all seasonal hack outs!

Beautiful colors

Even though autumn is the beginning of a more troublesome blanket period we also have to acknowledge  how incredible it is to bring your horse in from the field, take off the blanket and having an all clean horse. We have definetely been looking forward to this. So, when you are sick and tired of all the mud during autumn then comfort yourself with the fact that now you can get your horse clean faster - thanks to the blanket.

Blanket time

Autumn means lower temperatures, and more comfortable riding temperatures. This also means that you can look forward to less sweaty gloves or riding helmets. And remember to appreciate this season now because soon it will be remarkably colder.
