The Equilab app tracks almost everything about your ride: How long and how far you have ridden your horse, how much the horse has walked, trotted, and galloped, and how many turns you have made. It also calculates the horse's energy consumption and gives you a detailed but clear overview. Compare your training sessions on a monthly or weekly basis and make a note of how satisfied you are with the performance of both yourself and your horse. You can also write notes for each activity and upload photos.
The app uses GPS tracking, so you have to bring your phone with you while riding.
As an extra feature you can add another user to your horse in the app. If someone helps you train or take care of your horse, you can both follow its status and development.
If you pay for the premium version, you also get a safety tracking feature which might be useful if you fall off. Furthermore, you can see the horse's top speed in each gait and see details about its transitions.

Hooves is an app that helps you plan most of your daily life with your horse. In fact, you can create an entire team around your horse. In this team you can create yourself as the owner and register your trainer, the person you share your horse with, your family, your friends or maybe your blacksmith, groom, or vet. Delegate tasks and create activities related to the different people in your team. The team members can also help plan and let you know how an activity went. Almost all activities can be registered; everything from an injury, a visit by the vet or a specific type of training. You can also buy an insurance to protect you and your team members in case of an accident.

Learn a dressage test

Good to know: The app is completely free and very easy to use. However, you must accept some advertisements and live with the quite plain design.

Trot down the center line and a leg yield to the left. Use your mobile to practice your dressage tests repeatedly before getting into the saddle. Do it with the easy-to-use app Learn A Dressage Test. It allows you to visually run through your dressage test again and again by drawing it with your finger on a digital 20x40 or 20x60 riding arena. Even though it’s quite simple, it can be useful in the days prior to or during a dressage event where you quickly need to visualize your test.
