EQUITANA is THE meeting place to be for the equestrian industry from March 9th to 15th 2023. Every two years, interesting new products are presented at the Essen fairgrounds, specialist knowledge is imparted in demonstrations and seminars, highlights of equestrian sport characterize the various theme days and there are almost inexhaustible shopping opportunities. And that's not all. Not only during the day, but also on the EQUITANA evenings, top-class entertainment and first-class education are provided.

evenings of pure horse

Seven days and six

Entertainment

It is one of the best moments at EQUITANA when the trade fair day is over and the audience gathers in the big arena in anticipation of the following hours to enjoy the evening. Whether it is a show or a clinic, the event is always accompanied by the giant LED-screen and impressive lighting effects that create unique atmospheres. Underlined by suitable music, the visitors are transported into new worlds. The Hop Top Show is rightly known as the best horse show in the world, but the clinics also offer a very special flair. Far away from boring teaching units, knowledge is provided and relaxation is offered at the same time. There won’t be a single teaching evening where the visitors will not become a little bit smarter and enjoy some beautiful moments.

Liberty Stars live

Together, these four equine influencers have more than 1,5 million followers on Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Numbers that impress. Speaking about: Tanja Riediger, Kenzie Dysli, Emilia Schlotterbeck and Julia Steinbrecher. Under @nativehorses you meet 23-year-old Tanja Riediger and her partner Bettina Rittler. The partnership between horse and human is particularly close to their hearts, and they committed to pass on their knowledge not only online, but also live. Kenzie Dysli is known far beyond her home, Andalusia. She shines in the saddle, trains her horses for film and television, is a show star and a horse person throughout. The 24-year-old Julia Steinbrecher works with horses of all sizes. In addition to Miniature horses and Quarter horses, she now also has a PRE in her stable. Emilia Schlotterbeck is known on social media under @dancinghorses and she is not only very successful in dressage, but also in working equitation. In addition, free and ground work are part of the repertoire of the 22-year-old and her four horses.

All four trainers have one thing in common: they follow the path of fine communication, they succeed in motivating the horses to cooperate with joy and to always give their best. How exactly this works, they’ll explain in the clinic "Liberty Stars live".

Hop Top Show Mosaique

No horse show where so many world-class performers come together as at Hop Top Show. No horse show where screen projection, lighting effects and music are so professionally coordinated and designed to the show. And no horse show that transports the visitors so intensively into other worlds. The title of Hop Top Show 2023 is "Mosaique" and the evening will be shaped according to the title. Many parts make up a whole. Fans of liberty dressage will get their money's worth just as much as vaulting fans or fans of driving. Poetic moments alternate with excitement and speed, the setting is multi-colored and cheerful, but also mystical and creative. What remains is the impression of having seen something very special. Mosaique can only be experienced on these three unique evenings - because this exceptional show is only performed during EQUITANA.

Uta Gräf & Andi Kreuzer live

The two protagonists of the evening are on the road in different disciplines. While Uta Gräf collects successes in the dressage arena, Andreas Kreuzer can be found with his horses in international show jumping courses. Can two fundamentally different directions have the same approach to working with the horse? Where does the training of dressage and show jumping horses complement each other, where can they profit from each other? These questions are answered by the two international trainers with support of their students. Trust and understanding between man and horse through fine handling are essential if success is to be achieved, regardless of the level and discipline. Only if the horse is motivated and enjoys working, it will be possible to establish good communication. Visitors of the clinic will have the opportunity to learn from the two renowned trainers. Uta Gräf and Andreas Kreuzer are passionate for visitors to take home tips that they can practice with their own horses.

Frédéric Pignon & Magali Delgado live

The gates open and Friesians, Andalusians or Arabians are galloping into the arena. No matter what breed the horses belong to - they fill the arena with their positive energy level. After a few impetuous rounds, Frédéric Pignon enters their midst. As if by magic, the horses come and join the exceptional French trainer. In the finest of finger-pointing communication, they start to act together, and every spectator realises the extraordinary connection that exists between horse and man. In dialogue with his horses, Frédéric is surrounded by such a positive aura that it is felt all the way to the stands. And the same happens when Magali Delgado enters the arena. She trains her horses to Grand Prix level, always playfully, positively and with a lot of appreciation. The result of this training are proud, joyful horses that give their best to shine together with Magali Delgado.

At the EQUITANA training evening "Frédéric Pignon & Magali Delgado live", the two exceptional trainers will take visitors into their world. They will explain their philosophy and how it is possible to get the horses to cooperate in such a motivated way. Additional guest of the evening is Linda Tellington-Jones, who has accompanied Frédéric and Magali in their work for years. Embedded in the unique atmosphere of an EQUITANA clinic, visitors will have an unforgettable experience.
